I love alligators.   I found this one at Gator Country and he made a lovely oil painting.  I did the painting in oils and on a canvas panel.  The canvas panel that I make is a luan panel and I glue my canvas on the hard wood surface. I love this surface to paint on. The painting is available here on my web site under Animals.  Please comment and let me know if you think he looks real… I think he does.

I am posting the Alligator painting today because I like it and today is the day for Gator Country to come to the Texas Artists Museum to see the kids.  They should learn lots of info on the gators of Southeast Texas. Barbara

New Web Site https://BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com We have just recently moved the Woodville, Texas. So far, we are both loving the country. I create art for myself. I love doing this. I am a Christian, wife, mother, retired banker, and artist. I started painting in 1976 and was hooked. I have never been bored creating a painting. The subjects are endless. I have been frustrated, but never bored, I will try all subjects, landscape, floral, seascape, still life, and portraits. I belong to several art groups Outdoor Painters Society Oil Painters of America Artists of Texas EBSQart Tyler County Art League I also teach oil painting classes each week in my studio. When I'm not painting, I love to be with my family. My husband is my best friend and we have been married for 61 years. Yes 61 years. We travel thro this great country.
